Terms and Conditions for Custom Design Handmade Jewellery:

1. Free Initial Consultation:

a. We offer a complimentary first consultation to discuss the design brief for the jewellery job.

b. During this consultation, we will provide detailed quotes based on the discussed requirements.

2. Deposit Requirement:

a. Once the direction of the job and the price are agreed upon, a minimum of 50% deposit is required to initiate the project.

b. The deposit amount is nonrefundable once it is paid.

3. Material Procurement:a. Once the deposit is received, we will proceed to purchase the necessary materials for the job.

b. The cost of materials will be included in the final balance of the job.

4. Design Presentation:

a. If the job requires a design, we will provide a to-scale hand-drawn design once the materials are acquired.

b. The design remains the property of JTaranaki.

5. Credit for Metals:a. Any metals taken as credit towards the job will become the property of JTaranaki once the deposit is paid.

6. Customer-Supplied Materials:

a. In cases where customers provide their own materials, we will work with them but assume no responsibility for the quality or suitability of those materials.

7. Final Payment:

a. The remaining balance of the job must be settled upon completion, prior to the pick-up or delivery of the finished piece.

b. Failure to make the final payment within the agreed-upon timeframe may result in additional charges or cancellation of the order.

8. Ownership and Intellectual Property:

a. The finished jewellery piece will become the property of the customer upon receipt of full payment.

b. Designs created by JTaranaki remain the exclusive property of JTaranaki and may be used for promotional purposes.

9. Warranty and Repairs:

a. We offer a warranty on craftsmanship for a specified period, which covers any necessary repairs due to defects in our workmanship.

b. The warranty does not cover damages caused by mishandling, accidents, or improper care.

10. Amendments and Cancellations:

a. Any changes or amendments to the agreed-upon design or job specifications must be discussed and approved by both parties.

b. In the event of a cancellation after the deposit is paid, the deposit amount will not be refunded.

11. Ownership and Responsibility:

a. The Client acknowledges that once the Jewellery is delivered and accepted, they assume full ownership and responsibility for its care, protection, and maintenance.

b. 2.1 The Client is responsible for proper care and maintenance of the Jewellery. The Company will provide care instructions upon delivery, and the Client is expected to follow these guidelines diligently.

c.The Client should avoid exposing the Jewellery to extreme temperatures, chemicals, abrasive materials, or physical damage, as these may result in damage to or loss of the Jewellery.

d. In the event of damage or loss of the Jewellery due to Client negligence, misuse, or failure to follow care instructions, the Client shall bear full financial responsibility for repair or replacement.

e. In cases of irreparable damage or loss, the Client may request a replacement. The cost of the replacement will be determined based on the retail market conditions determined by JTaranaki Jewellery and any customisation fees. The Client is responsible for all associated costs, including shipping.

f. The Company shall not be held liable for damage, loss, or delays in delivery of the Jewellery caused by events beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of terrorism, civil unrest, or any other force majeure events.
